But I’ve been waiting to write about dance until I could push off of the standing foot, and that’s something I learned in a dance lesson. I was not ready until I found my voice, engaged my center, made eye contact with the audience and pushed off of the standing foot. Try it. It feels beautiful and it looks beautiful. That’s what grace looks like. It’s what it feels like. It’s the truth. When you have a voice and know your truth, you can go as forward as you can without falling over. Look straight ahead. Head over spine, connected to the floor beneath the floor your feet are on, and push off the standing foot into the mysterious emptiness of the present.
